SiSu® Dance Academy offers progressive, pre-professional classes in ballet and dance lessons in a professional and modern facility in central Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The philosophy behind SiSu® Dance Academy is about maintaining a balanced approach; excellence in technique is always our goal, but we are first and foremost focused on the physical and emotional health of our students. This is all accomplished, of course, in the dance studio. We provide dance and ballet lessons from pre-school on up, with a range of classes for all skill levels.
While the Dance Academy promotes an intense work ethic through focused training from our dancers, Sisu® has such a huge heart! We are also about supporting the family. We invite mothers, fathers and siblings into our comfortable surroundings to join in the process of making superior dancers and well-rounded human beings.

A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR
SiSu® Dance Academy is special because we can see ahead in each dancer's journey. Our faculty is trained with a keen eye for talent, technique, and safety. Ms. Megan recognizes gifts in dancers from a young age - gifts from beautiful feet, to rotation, to a pure passion for dancing.
We encourage dancers to not compare themselves to other dancers but to look inside their souls and be better than they were the day before through hard work and discipline. These are all ethics that are carried over into each dancer's everyday life and how they see themselves.
SiSu® is special because we believe in methods. Following a classical ballet method is the foundation that sets dancers up for success. Our director and staff are fully invested and trained in many different certified programs in the industry. We are committed to our own development and will continue to keep up to date with the best curriculums on the market.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM
Is your child full of life and energy, but could benefit from some additional listening skills? The Children's Program at SiSu® Dance Academy is designed for budding and younger dancers. Students learn to dance at their current level of mental, physical, emotional and cognitive development.
Our Children's Program instructors are fun-loving, animated and cheerful. Our trained staff has experience working with children to encourage increased participation and freer expression. We are the right dance academy to get your child moving and discovering the wonderful world of dance.
FREE WiFi and Parking are available. Family members are able to observe and enjoy their student's progress and enthusiasm.
CROSS CONDITIONING WITH SISU®
Cross Conditioning, designed specifically for dancers, is an important aspect of a dancer's training. Dancers require endurance, speed, flexibility, and the ability to turn and jump at extreme levels.
Dancers need conditioning to support safely trained muscle groups - especially for the ballet body. Most athletes work in a Sagittal plane or parallel. Ballet dancers work in both parallel and exterior rotated positions. This requires an in-depth understanding of the body to execute such demanding and intricate movements. Dancers must be able to easily move in the Sagittal, Frontal, and Transverse planes of movement at any given moment.
Challenging the dancer's body with resisted load can be done safely in the SiSu® Cross Conditioning classes.
Cross Conditioning at SiSu® is one of the most recommended classes for our dancers.
